Floral Bundle Dyeing Workshop

I will demonstrate how to print flowers and other natural extracts directly onto silk fabric. This workshop will be an introduction to the basics of natural dyeing, where you will learn the most important steps, namely how to properly clean and
prepare the material to receive natural dyes and create textiles with long-lasting colours.

I will share my knowledge on different folding, bundling and steaming techniques, creating ethereal and abstract imprints of the essence of the flowers used. Creativity and spontaneity will be at the forefront of the workshop so that you can relax and enjoy the playfulness of this technique.

All materials will be provided, and we will be bundle dyeing on a hand hemmed, 50 x 50 cm square of 100% Indian peace silk.
