Pattern play with mordant pastes

Learn the art of using plant power to create patterns on textiles.
This workshop will begin with how to properly clean (scour) linen. Then you will learn how to create mordant pastes that will allow you to print your own pattern, using stamps, a silk screen or a simple paintbrush. You will then create a dye bath and immerse your material to reveal the unique, naturally dyed surface design you printed.
All materials will be provided, and we will be dyeing a medium-weight, 100% linen tea towel.
